The Diglyphus isaea is a warm weather beneficial parasitic wasp used for the control of leaf miner pests. These tiny 2mm long mini wasps sting their prey with a paralyzing toxin. The prey is affected immediately and the wasps then eat their victim or lay eggs nearby for their offspring to consume upon hatching. These beneficial wasps can be used for prevention purposes or to treat miner infestations. They thrive in warm temperatures of 24-32°c and relative humidity of 80%. With any beneficial wasp yellow sticky traps should not be used.
Dosage - The information given here is a general guideline. Release rates can be affected by the stage/size of the cannabis plant, climate conditions, and level of infestation.
When first leaf miners appear release 0.25-0.5 wasp per ft², weekly repeating for a minimum of two weeks or until biological balance has been achieved.
Your D. isaea will arrive in 250 ml plastic bottle. To distribute, open the cover gently and walk down the center of the area being treated while gently tapping the bottle to encourage the wasps to fly out.
We recommend that the D. isaea are released immediately upon arrival.
If immediate release is not possible, store horizontally at 6-8°c (or in the fridge) for 1-2 days.
