Aphidius colemani

Regular price $32.99 Sale

Effective in the prevention and control of low infestations of aphids, the Aphidius colemani is parasitic wasp predator. Each wasp kills up to 300 aphids in its lifetime by injecting it's eggs into them. The eggs hatch into voracious larvae that eat their host from the inside out. Adult A. colemani are great hunters and can detect aphid distress signals and their honey dew secretions. Just the presence of these predator can cause alarm among aphid colonies causing panic and while attempting to flee en masse many pests will simply fall off plants to their deaths.

Dosage - The information given here is a general guideline. Release rates can be affected by the stage/size of the cannabis plant, climate conditions, and level of infestation.

For prevention use 0.15 A. colemani per ft² per week. As soon as aphids are detected increase A. colemani to 0.5-1 wasp per ft² per week for a minimum of 3 weeks or until biological balance is acheived. For infestations combine A. colemani with A. aphidimyza and A. bipunctata.
