The Feltiella acarisuga is one of the most effective predators of two-spotted spider mites. These gall midges are active in cold and dark and eat five times as many spider mites per day than the P. persimilis. Once established they can provide long lasting protection for your crop. High humidity boost reproduction of this species.
Dosage - The information given here is a general guideline. Release rates can be affected by the stage/size of the cannabis plant, climate conditions, and level of infestation.
For preventative applications use 0.1 F. acarisuga per ft². For infestation treatment use 0.25 F. acarisuga per ft².
Your Feltiella will arrive in a plastic tray containing 250 gall midge pupae on wood shavings. Carefully open the lid and gently hang the tray mid canopy. The gall midge can fly and will search out spider mite colonies to feed on.
We recommend immediate release of your F. acarisuga.
If immediate release in not possible, you may store your F. acarisuga at 6-8°c (or in the fridge) for up to 2 days.
