Nematode Steinernema feltiae
Nematode Steinernema feltiae are microscopic non-segmented worms. They can treat almost all types of grow mediums. These super bugs are fast and effective predators for the larvae stages of fungus gnats, and may also feed on thrips, and shore flies. These nematodes typically do not attack other beneficial bugs.
Dosage - The information given here is a general guideline. Release rates can be affected by the stage/size of the cannabis plant, climate conditions, and level of infestation.
For preventative applications use 125 000 nematodes per ft², weekly. For light infestation treatment use 250 000 nematodes per ft², weekly for a minimum of three weeks or until biological balance has been achieved. For heavy infestation use 500 000 nematodes per ft², weekly for a minimum of four weeks or until biological balance has been achieved.
Your nematodes will arrive in a plastic tray mixed with a gel formation.
To apply as a dip for smaller plants - Mix the gel formation with warm water and stir or shake to dissolve and distribute evenly. Use a bubbler in your tank/bucket to maintain even coverage of nematodes.
To apply as a foliage spray - Mix the gel formation with water and stir or shake to dissolve and distribute evenly. Do not use centrifugal pumps filters finer than 50-mesh, spray nozzles smaller than 0.5mm, or spray at higher than 200 psi. The mixture should be periodically agitated during application to prevent nematodes from sinking to the bottom of the tank. Spray mix immediately after preparation. The nematodes work best when the soil is kept moist after application.
Notes - UV sunlight kills nematodes so be sure to apply nematodes when it is dark.
We recommend immediate release of your S. feltiae.
If immediate release is not possible, you may store your S. feltiae at 5°c, sealed, until best before date. Nematodes mixed with water cannot be stored.
