Neoseiulus californicus (Amblyseius californicus) is an active beneficial mite that is an effective control for two-spotted spider mites. They are active during large temperature ranges up to 35°c and can survive short periods up to 40°c. They are excellent hunters and can survive on pollen when prey are few. They work well in partnership with Phytoseiulus persimilis in areas of heavy infestation.
Dosage - The information given here is a general guideline. Release rates can be affected by the stage/size of the cannabis plant, climate conditions, and level of infestation.
For preventative treatment, introduce 25 predatory mites per ft² every three weeks. For infestation treatment, introduce 100-200 predatory mites per ft² in all hot spots.
Bulk Material - are packaged in bottles 25,000 predatory mites with a carrier material. To release on vegetative plants, broadcast bulk material over canopy of plants to be protected or treated. On flowering plants, we recommend using distribution boxes as the vermiculite carrier will stick to flower sites.
Breeding Sachets - Your sachets, with a minimum of 100 predators per sachet, will arrive in a cardboard box. Open with care as you will not want to damage the paper sachets inside. Breeding sachets are available in 100 and 500 count boxes. The sachet packaging has a built in hook for easy implementation in to your crop. Do not widen or make the hole in the sachet any larger. The opening on the package is engineered to the perfect size for optimal breeding conditions inside the sachet. Hang sachets from plant by hook near top of plant. The sachets are good for four weeks however, if necessary, repeat introduction after three weeks to maintain a continuous presence of A. californicus in your crop.
We recommend releasing mites as soon as possible after delivery.
If immediate release is not possible, the A. californicus bulk material products should be stored at 6-8°c. The A. californicus breeding system sachets should be kept at 18°c. At these temperatures the respective products should remain in optimal condition until the use by date on the label.
Store product in a dark well-ventilated space to avoid possible carbon dioxide (CO2) accumulation.
